Project Manager – Game Development (f/m/d)
About Us
Your role:
Everyone here has a hand in what we ship. Now we're looking for someone who wants to be right in the middle of it.
You're the link between everyone: the team, our leads, publishers, and partners. You keep the overview across up to three projects at a time, depending on their size, from the first rough prototype all the way to launch. You own team, schedule, budget, and delivery. You work closely with our C-level, bring in your ideas, and help shape how we run projects as a studio.
We set the bar high. You can see it in the games we've shipped. But we don't expect you to walk in as a finished Project Lead. We want to build that path with you: step by step, with more responsibility as you're ready for it, regular feedback, and experienced people who have your back. Our goal is to see you grow into a Project Lead role.
How we work together
Here, you're part of the team, not a number. Your opinion shapes our games from the day you start.
We work with radical candor: we care about each other, and we're honest with each other. Feedback is direct, specific, and always meant to help. We hope you'll give it as openly as you receive it.
You'll also work closely with our production house remote control productions (rcp). That means more know-how, more contacts, and more support for your projects, from funding and business development to publishing deals.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Guide up to three projects from concept to release.
- Be the go-to person for everyone. When someone needs an answer, a decision, or a nudge, they come to you.
- Plan schedules, spot risks early, and solve them together with the team.
- Keep daily development moving: meetings, priorities, blockers.
- Work side by side with our Creative Director, Art Director, and department leads.
- Bring together internal teams, embedded teams, partners, and outsourcers.
- Be the main contact for publishers and partners on your projects.
- Present progress, risks, and budget to our C-level.
Your profile:
- You've shipped at least one game and you've done project management in games.
- You speak and write fluent English. German is a big plus, since a lot of our office chatter happens in German.
- You live in or near Munich. We're together in the office Tuesday to Thursday, and Monday and Friday can be home-office days.
What makes you great at this
- You have a producer mindset. You understand the game and its players, and that shapes your decisions.
- You know every phase of game development and how the departments fit together.
- You plan well, communicate clearly, and feel at ease presenting to the team, leadership, or a publisher.
- You know your way around agile methods like Scrum and project management tools.
- Our project managers work in Coda (Superhuman Docs) every day, and we keep trying new tools that make work better. You're up for that.
- You're curious about AI and use it every day to make your work, and your team's work, easier.
Bonus points
None of these are must-haves. But if any of them sound like you, even better.
- You've built AI agents or automations that make your PM life easier.
- You've worked on PC and console titles.
- You've worked with an international publisher or self-published a game.
- You have a background in product management.
- A social post or a devlog now and then sounds fun to you.
